1. Tell us about your current occupation and how you landed such a fabulous job.⁣

I’m a freelance beauty writer. Prior to moving to Chicago, I lived in NYC where I was a beauty editor at several major magazines. I’ve been freelance for 7 years now and love it! ⁣

2. What's your best advice for PR professionals?

Rather than emailing and asking “what stories are you working on?” send a quick list of the latest and greatest happenings with your clients, with a line or two as to why it’s relevant to the person/outlet you’re pitching. Short and sweet is best, but quick, concise, tailored details are great! ⁣

3. What's a fun fact about you?

I speak Ukrainian fluently⁣.

4. Tell us about your favorite nonprofit and why.

Anything and everything rescue dog-related is a cause close to my heart (my dog George is a rescue and the best pup ever!). Global Strays is an incredible organization that helps rescue dogs and other animals in impoverished countries in Latin America where similar resources are lacking and the animals really need help. The work they do is unbelievable! ⁣

5. What's your favorite meal, movie, or vacation spot?

The Jersey Shore—no, not all of it is like what you see on the TV show.
