Five Minutes With Stephanie Hope.

Stephanie Hope - Shopping Editor, Reader’s Digest

1. Tell us about your current occupation and how you landed such a fabulous job.

I am currently a shopping editor for Reader’s Digest and a romance author represented by The Knight Agency.

2. What's your best advice for PR professionals?

My best advice is to try to build a relationship with the brand, writer, editor, etc. We're all humans behind the scenes and want to connect! Also, don't be afraid to follow up. We get hundreds of emails a day, and it's easy to get lost in the crowd.

3. What's a fun fact about you?

I have a horrible habit of buying planners and journals. I'm always convinced the next one I buy is going to be the one that changes my entire life. Spoiler alert: it never does.

4. Tell us about your favorite nonprofit and why.

The Berkshire Humane Society is a local shelter where I live that I always try to support when I can. They work hard at making sure every pet gets a good home and sets them up for success.

5. What's your favorite meal, movie, or vacation spot?

My favorite meal will have to be everything from my local Chinese takeout spot.
